From now until February 28, the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is running our annual “No Frills” fundraiser to raise money for classroom activities, educational field trips, and fun community events that are sponsored by the PTO – Welcome pizza, Community Traditions Night, Math Night, Skate Night, to name a few.

We know everyone’s time is valuable, so we’re making this fundraiser as easy as possible. There is no selling, no volunteering, just a direct ask for your support. By contributing a monetary donation, you can help ensure our children have the resources they need for a successful year.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1st, 5:00-7:00 PM 

The Edmunds Elementary PTO is sponsoring the 15th Annual Family Math Night in the school gym!  Explore the wonders of math with your children and let them show you what they are learning. A variety of activities and math centers will be available for children of all ages, such as legos, card games, chess, games with dice, and many more! 

There will be pizza and prizes, too! 

Please bring a finger food snack, appetizer, or dessert to share. 

Sign up to volunteer here. We need A LOT of volunteers to make Math Night run!

Schedule:

• 5:00 – 5:30 pm: Pizza will be served in the cafeteria 
• 5:30 – 7:00 pm: Math Night in the gym

As the temperatures begin to drop and we sort through our kids’ winter gear to see what fits and what needs to be replaced, please remember to set aside any items you might be able to donate to this year’s coat and gear swap.  

November 11: The PTO will begin collecting new or gently used (still in good condition) items: coats, snow pants, gently used boots, and accessories (no hats, please). 

Donations can be dropped off at the school’s main entrance.

Remember, you don’t have to give to get.

Room Parents are needed for most classrooms: If you are interested in becoming a room parent for your child’s grade, please consider volunteering for this fun job! As a room parent, you communicate and coordinate classroom assistance to promote parent/family involvement in class and schoolwide activities such as classroom celebrations and field trips.

The EES Community Traditions Night is being held Friday, November 8, 6-8 pm.  This event celebrates the diverse traditions that enrich our community and includes a POTLUCK dinner, as well as a variety of performances and activities.  Please join the school community for food tastings, music, art, and fun!

Ways to contribute to the evening:

POTLUCK signup: The potluck begins at 6:00 pm, bring your food to the cafeteria at 5:30.  Please consider making a favorite dish to share.  Sign up here to let the school know what you will be bringing.

VOLUNTEER signup: The school needs a few parent volunteers to join the teachers who will be helping with set-up, running food and activity tables, and clean up.  Please sign up here to help out.

COUNTRY/CULTURAL DISPLAY/ACTIVITY signup: Throughout the evening there will be music, dance, and art performances.  There will also be country and cultural tables to visit.  In the past, families have set up arts and crafts, a tortilla making station, flags, photos, clothing, stories, games, language writing, and performed dance and music.  If you wish to set up a table/display or perform, please contact Andrea Techera-Gill at [email protected] or call her on her cell at 904-962-8445.
